$3,104 monthly while in training ($37,253 annually)
$3,999 monthly upon graduation ($47,986 annually)
SPECIAL
NOTE: Applicants must successfully pass a
written test, an aerobic capacity run, a physical assessment test,
a background check, a polygraph examination, interview and medical / physical examination.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma (or) GED Certificate (or) 12 semester hours from an accredited college or
university.
RESIDENCY: Must live within thirty (30) minutes of designated report-in station;
must be accomplished within six (6)
months of employment.
AGE
REQUIREMENTS:
18 - 35 years of age (cannot have reached
36th birthday by date of certification).
LICENSE: Valid and current Class “C” drivers’
license. (Will be required to obtain Class “B” while in
training).
VETERAN: Must have received an Honorable Discharge to qualify for veteran points
on passing score of 70.

In addition to this base pay, employees
receive:
A. LONGEVITY
PAY: $ 4 per
month times the number of years of service, up to 25 years.
B. INCENTIVE
PAY:
$60 per month for Associates Degree, or $120 per month for Bachelors’ Degree
following one (1) year of service after
commissioned.
C. BILINGUAL INCENTIVE
PAY: $100 per month for upon successful completion of Language Proficiency
Test.
PROMOTIONS: Promotions are granted
on basis of competitive Civil Service examinations.
